The McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle is an American multirole strike fighter. The F-15E was designed in the 1980s for long-range, high-speed inerdiction without relying on escort or electronic-warefare aircraft. Max speed Mach 2.5 at 60k feet. It remains the only US aircraft that can accelerate while climbing vertical.
