The REC 901-01 watch is named after the original intended name for the legendary Porsche 911. In 1964, Porsche presented their new invention the Porsche 901, however another car maker had already claimed ownership of any three digit number with a 0 in the middle. Porsche therefore simply replaced the 0 with a 1, and the rest was history.

The disc at the top of the watch is black when the watch is charged. At around 25 percent it will start to turn red.
