10:15 was sort of born out of the idea that i wanted to design a watch that had numbers moving on a line and others on a wheel. From there i liked the idea of having traditional watch hands that dont move but rather have the numbers come to them and they help draw the eye to the info youre really looking for, the time. Having them point at what would be traditionally be 10:15 was just the way it worked out best in the design. ivr just been into the open face, mechanical look lately. The pistons are there just to simulate the vertican and horizontal sliding of the number tracks
