The innovative five 10-minute markers between the hour markers instead of four 1 minute markers allow relatively precise minute reading solely by the hour hand. The 10-minute markers are shown only in the dimmed mode.

In the bright mode, rotating digital minute hand is used. This saves energy that would otherwise be used for 60 groups of unnecessary pixels minute markers. The digits allow precise minute and second reading while its position allows rough but fast and intuitive reading.

These features are all aimed at saving battery by combining strengths from analog and digital watch faces, which is only possible on smart watches.
