Get your watch face featured
How to land premium placement on the WatchMaker home feed and in the mobile app.
What being featured means
Featured watch faces get front-page placement on getwatchmaker.com, in the "Live Watch Faces" panel on desktop, on the mobile app home tab, and in weekly editorial rotations. Historically featured faces see 10–50× the installs of an unfeatured upload.
What the editorial team looks for
- •Distinctive design. A face that doesn't obviously clone a commercial watch or another creator's work.
- •Clean promo imagery. Prefer real watch mockups and curated background art over raw simulator screenshots.
- •Readability at a glance. Time is legible in the thumbnail at small sizes.
- •Animation/interactivity that adds something. Tap hotspots, animated complications, themed states — not spinning gears for the sake of it.
- •Proper device support. AMOLED-friendly palette, Always-On variant where applicable, low-battery mode configured.
- •Non-trivial use of Studio features. Complications, expressions, scripted layers, or multiple themes all lift your chances.
Common reasons for rejection
- •Stock watch mockups without any real watchface content on them.
- •Copyrighted logos or brand marks (Rolex, Omega, Ferrari, etc.) as the main design element.
- •Inappropriate imagery, recognizable faces without permission, or political content.
- •Misleading titles or descriptions (“Free Apple Watch Face” style spam).
- •Very low upload count from a brand-new account — build a small portfolio first.
Before you submit
- •Publish the watch face publicly.
- •Upload at least one high-quality promo image (not just an auto-generated thumbnail).
- •Make sure your creator profile has an avatar and short bio.
- •Test the face on a real device if you can — layout bugs are the #1 reject reason.
How to submit
Send us an email with the watch ID, a one-line pitch, and a link to the public watch face page. The editorial team reviews submissions weekly.
