The gold Quinarius was simply a half Aureus.

Axum was a Kingdom from the 1st thru the 10th centuries in what is now N. Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti and part of Yemen. These first coins of Axum, from the pagan era, have a solar disk inside a crescent moon, the goddess Shams and the god Sin of South Arabia at the top
