CRT (Cathode Ray Tube)

This design captures the authentic, lived-in feel of vintage hardware by incorporating animated CRT noise. This dynamic effect—featuring subtle static grain and rhythmic scanline flicker—breathes life into the interface, perfectly simulating the imperfect, textured aesthetic of a classic monochrome cathode ray tube monitor.

​Active Mode: This configuration functions as a high-fidelity diagnostic screen. The blocky digital typography and grid overlay are layered beneath the animated noise, creating a "living" command-line interface. Metrics like time, date, battery, weather, heart rate, and steps appear as if projected directly onto a warm-up period of an old tube display.

​Always-On Display (AOD): To optimize battery consumption while maintaining the retro atmosphere, the design shifts to a minimalist analog layout. The animation remains subtle, providing just enough movement to suggest the monitor is still powered on, while stripping away extraneous data to keep the look clean and efficient.
