Obverse likens him to

the Greek god Apollo seated on the Oracle of Delphi stone

Reverse Greek means

"of King Antiochus". The

elephant recalls his use of them in his military. A good king himself but his wicked son Antiochus IV

sparked the Maccabee rebellion of Chanukka.
